Steel pipe knowledge: 20 # seamless steel pipe for low carbon steel
February 21, 2023
20# seamless steel tubes are low carbon steel tubes. Carbon steel is generally divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, and high carbon steel. 45# steel is medium carbon steel, and 45# is low carbon steel. 45# is a high carbon steel. If there is no special requirement for seamless steel pipes, 20# seamless steel pipes are used.
20 # seamless steel pipe material is 20 # steel, the strength is slightly higher than 15 #, rarely quenching, no temper brittleness. Cold deformation high plasticity, general for bending, rolling, crimping and hammer arch processing, arc welding and contact welding welding performance, gas welding thickness is small, strict shape or complex shape of the parts are prone to cracking. Machinability Cold drawing or normalizing is better than annealing. It is generally used for manufacturing with low stress and high toughness requirements.
